Last updated November 7, 2026 · The TOYNIMA game and the toynima.bguillotte.fr website

In short: no account, no ads, no purchases, no tracking; only anonymous usage statistics, which you can turn off. The game plays offline. These statistics do not say who you are: no name, no email, no precise location. You can turn them off in the game: Options › Gameplay › “Anonymous statistics”.

Who we are

TOYNIMA is a game by Benjamin Guillotte, published by BGHolding (see the legal notice). For any question about this policy : contact@bguillotte.fr.

What the game does not collect

Apart from the anonymous usage statistics described just below, the game sends nothing to the publisher, and nothing at all to any third party: no name, no email, no contacts, no photos, no precise location, no crash report. It contains no advertising, tracking or analytics tool from another company, and asks for no access to the camera, microphone, location, photos or contacts.

This version has no online play: the connection is only used by the anonymous statistics and by Apple's services (see below). If online play ever comes, this policy will be updated first, and so will the App Store listing.

Anonymous usage statistics

To improve the game, we need to know which games people enjoy, how long they play, how many play together, at what time and where. To do this, the game sends the publisher anonymous usage statistics. They are used for nothing else.

What is sent.

  • Sessions: when they start and end, how long they last and the time spent in a match.
  • Matches: the mode (mini-game, duel, stage, Story world, boss, Party mode), the game, world or arena, where the match was started from, the number of players on the device, the number of bots, the number of the hero played, the length, the result and the score.
  • The local time (the time zone offset).
  • The device: its type and model, the system version, the game's version and build number, how it was installed (App Store or TestFlight), the game's language, and the language and region set on the device.

A random identifier. The statistics carry an installation identifier, drawn at random on the device. It is not linked to your Apple Account, Game Center, iCloud or your saved games, and it is renewed every 13 months.

The city, no more. When it receives the statistics, the server works out the city (at most), the region and the country from the IP address, using DB-IP's “IP to City Lite” database (CC BY 4.0 licence: IP Geolocation by DB-IP). The IP address is never stored. The game does not use GPS location and asks for no permission.

Never. No name, no first name (the first names typed in Party mode are not sent), no email, no contacts, no photos. No advertising, no resale, no sharing with third parties, no combining with other data, no tracking as Apple defines it.

Where, and for how long. The statistics are sent in batches, encrypted (HTTPS), to the publisher's server (game.bguillotte.fr). This server is rented from the hosting company DigitalOcean, which acts as the publisher's processor, in a data centre in Amsterdam (the Netherlands, European Union). Without a connection, they wait on the device, in a journal of limited size, and are sent later: the game always plays offline. They are kept for 25 months at most, then erased automatically.

Turning them off. In the game: Options › Gameplay › “Anonymous statistics” (on at first). Turning them off erases the journal on the device and asks the server to erase everything it received from this installation. If you turn them back on, they start again with a new identifier.

Why we do not ask for your consent first. It is an audience measurement exempt from consent as defined by the CNIL, the French data protection authority (article 82 of the French Data Protection Act): it is only used to measure the game's audience, produces anonymous statistics, keeps its identifier for 13 months at most and its data for 25 months at most, locates no more precisely than the city, and you can object simply, with the switch. It rests on the publisher's legitimate interest: improving the game.

What stays on your device

The game saves on the device, in its own space, your settings and up to 4 saved games: progress, medals, the Adventurer's look and, if you choose one, a save name (12 characters at most) shown in the end credits. This data never leaves your devices, except through iCloud (see below). You can delete a saved game from within the game; deleting the app erases everything it saved on the device.

Apple services: iCloud and Game Center

iCloud. If your device is signed in to iCloud, your saved games are synced between your devices through iCloud key-value storage, under your Apple Account. The publisher has no access to this data.

Game Center. If you are signed in to Game Center, achievements, leaderboards, challenges and activities are handled by Apple. The game reads no player identifier; it only shows, in leaderboards, the names Game Center provides. It follows the restrictions set on the device (Screen Time).

These services fall under Apple's privacy policy. If you chose to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may pass us crash reports without your identity; they are only used to fix the game.

Children

TOYNIMA is made for families. What the game sends is anonymous: nothing tells who is playing, child or adult. It is only the usage statistics described above, which a parent can turn off in Options › Gameplay › “Anonymous statistics”. There are no ads, no purchases and no chat with strangers.

This website

The toynima.bguillotte.fr website sets no cookies, uses no analytics and loads nothing from another site (fonts, images and videos are served by the site itself). It is served by the same server as the game's statistics, rented from DigitalOcean, in Amsterdam (the Netherlands, European Union). It keeps no log of visits: no IP address, no page requested.

Your rights

You can write to us with any question or request about your data. To object to the anonymous statistics, turn off the Options › Gameplay › “Anonymous statistics” switch: this also erases them, since the game then asks the server to erase everything it received from this installation. Because this data is anonymous, the publisher cannot find a given person's data, even from their name or email: this is why erasure goes through the switch, from the device. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL) (cnil.fr).

Changes
