About the game

In a few words

TOYNIMA is an action-adventure game for families. A little boy falls asleep, and his toys get lost in his dreams, kept by nightmares. With the Adventurer and his yo-yo, you cross 21 worlds, beat 33 nightmares that turn into plush toys, and bring every toy home, alone or as two.

At more length

Every night, when a little boy falls asleep, his bedroom becomes a vast dream world. But nightmares have crept in and locked his toys in cages. The Sandman tells the story; the player is the Adventurer, yo-yo in hand, setting out to free the toys and bring them back to the bedroom.

Each of the 21 worlds is a big open map with several paths, secrets and a mini-game. At the end, a nightmare keeps the toy caged: once beaten, it isn't destroyed, it turns into a plush toy. Every freed toy becomes playable, and the bedroom fills up as they come home. To reach the Clock Tower, the boy's model plane must first be rebuilt from 65 pieces hidden across the worlds; then come the tower's twelve hours, all the way to midnight.

The Story is played by two on the same screen: the second player can drop in at any time, and their knockouts never make you lose. The Duel brings up to 4 players together in 23 arenas, and the party mode passes the device from hand to hand. A gentle mode, automatic help against bosses and a “Good night” at the end of each world keep evenings calm. No ads, no in-app purchases.
